It all started when Chase switched my default printer to the line feed. It prints out long continous feeds of paper that you can tear apart by hand. It also uses two sizes for printing. The paper has about five extra inches on the side that is perforated if you don't use the larger size.
Well, I have quite a few strips of those narrower sheets of paper now from printing stuff and not needing the extra space. So I started doodling on one. It was a fox. Then it was a fox with wings. So on and such forth. Eventually, all of these showed up. And I still have tons of paper left.
I think I'm getting a bit better at drawing animals now as well.
If you look, there's some common themes among the animals. Complementing elements are from similar species and the jewel in the wing is in the same spot. Opposing elements are roughly the same size animal. (altough the badger and the ferret didn't get drawn at about the same size, but they're special cases) The dangling pearl is looped about the same paws for complementing elements as well.
This is very awesome, you really put some thought into this. I seriously think you're getting a LOT better with animals ^_^

I adore these animals =3 My favorites are the light ferret, the fire fox, and the earth leopard. I especially love the way you drew the leopard's spots and the fox's legs.
